We live in a complex world which poses an endless list of challenges, obstacles and dilemmas. While some are blessed to glide on easy street, others are faced with a life of excruciating adversities. Family, love, religion, career, physical health, and emotional stability are just some of the pieces of a very large puzzle we all try to assemble. Dealing with these myriad facets in our lives often becomes a hard task to achieve. As a result of same, we may face an upsetting, disappointing, and many times overwhelming scenario, which could easily lead to discouragement, unhappiness and depression.
Aish Tamid is a multi-faceted organization which was founded in 2007 by Rabbi Yaakov Yagen. It was inspired by the life and principles of Rabbanit Rachel Yagen, of blessed memory. An amazing woman, with a rare degree of humility, Rabbanit Yagen left us a legacy of experience, knowledge and wisdom by which to evaluate our own lives. Moreover, Rabbanit Yagen’s life resembled a prescription for personal greatness.
It comes as no surprise that the combined efforts of her illustrious children, Rabbi Nissim Yagen, of blessed memory, in Israel, and Rabbi Yosef Yagen, in the United States, influenced a whole generation to reconnect with their Jewish heritage.
The merit of this Tzadeket (righteous woman) who lived her life with love, respect and support for Torah and its observance became the “perpetual flame” that motivated the members of Aish Tamid to carry on her principles and goals.
The mission of Aish Tamid is to endow the community with a wide array of programs, services and resources, specifically designed to fulfill the needs of that community. We attempt to motivate and inspire Jewish families and individuals of all ages and backgrounds, to overcome obstacles which have hindered their emotional, academic, religious, or social lives. In doing so, our staff maintains the requisite experience, education and training to work with each individual case.
Since its inception, Aish Tamid has excelled in assisting young adults, couples and families to overcome the various difficulties in their lives. Aish Tamid works with the support of rabbinical authorities, social workers, educators, and other experienced professionals. Furthermore, all of the Aish Tamid programs have been carefully created in order to provide assistance and direction to all participants.
